Autotex Matcher
Developer: Mohamed Targam
Blender add-on that scans a texture folder and builds PBR materials for imported models.
What Autotex Matcher does
Autotex Matcher removes the tedium of wiring PBR textures in Blender. After importing a model, point the add-on at a folder and it finds the maps, pairs each texture set with the right material and constructs the shader network.
It searches subfolders for base color, roughness, metallic, normal, displacement, AO, alpha and emission maps, and compares set names against object and material names, refusing to guess when two sets look equally likely. Batch import accepts FBX, OBJ, glTF, Alembic, USD, STL and more, and one bad file will not halt the run. A material manager previews changes first, and custom naming keywords and UDIM tiles are supported.
Key features
- Detects PBR maps in nested folders
