Bioxel Nodes
Developer: OmooLab
A Blender add-on for scientific volumetric data visualization using Geometry Nodes and Cycles.
What Bioxel Nodes does
Bioxel Nodes turns volumetric scientific data, such as medical scans and microscopy, into renderable volumes in Blender. It uses Geometry Nodes and Cycles to process the data, with EEVEE NEXT supported too, though limited to one cutter and not as strong as Cycles.
Import covers DICOM, BMP, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, Nifti, Nrrd and HDF5, including 4D volumetric data. A range of cutters and simple but capable nodes shape the result. Researchers, medical illustrators and science communicators who want high quality renders of volumetric datasets will find it a practical route.
