What Boomer Labs MAX2AE does
MAX2AE from Boomer Labs bridges 3ds Max and After Effects. Every attribute of Max cameras, objects and lights is carried across so the After Effects scene lines up with the 3D render, whatever the resolution, pixel aspect or frame rate.
Object-to-layer and light-to-light animation matching is included. Helper planes in Max stand in for an After Effects layer or comp, can be animated like any object, and can output keyframes to AE layers. They can also be rendered as track mattes for occlusion. Particles export as layers, nulls or lights, and SpaceWarps and automatic scene scaling are supported. Compositors blending 3D and live action will benefit.
