Brushed Shading
Developer: sharktacos
Shaders that make smooth shading look like hand-painted brush strokes in EEVEE and Cycles.
What Brushed Shading does
Brushed Shading is a set of shaders and tools for painterly rendering. It bends object normals through a hand-painted brush stroke map so ordinary smooth shading reads as brush strokes.
It works in EEVEE and Cycles, and now in Maya as well. A material library demonstrates watercolor, oil paint, pastel, palette knife and pencil sketch looks, and custom brush maps are supported. It suits stylized and illustrative animation. Day to day, that covers normal-bending brush stroke shader, EEVEE and Cycles support and watercolor, oil, pastel, palette knife, pencil materials.
