Cesium ion
Developer: Cesium
Uploads 3ds Max scenes to Cesium ion, which tiles and hosts them as 3D Tiles for streaming to any device.
What Cesium ion does
Cesium ion connects 3ds Max to Cesium's online platform for tiling, optimizing and hosting 3D data. You upload worlds, scenes and models, and the service converts them into 3D Tiles.
The tiles stream to any device within Cesium's geospatial world, alongside terrain and satellite imagery, and the cloud architecture lets large datasets run in web apps such as CesiumJS. Version 1.1.1 added support for 3ds Max 2024 and 2025 and exports using the new Reality Tiler. Architects and city modelers can publish big models for browsers without local streaming setups.
