What Chartist does
Chartist by Hasan Atallah builds bar charts and line graphs inside After Effects. Bars can be custom made from shape layers, comps, images, videos or text, and any image, video or comp can be laid over them as a texture.
A background system lets you style and save chart backdrops with gradients and two levels of grid. Legends are supported, along with right-to-left layouts for Arabic, Hebrew, Persian and Urdu. Axis numbers and years can be separated, with comma formatting. It works with After Effects 2020 through 2025, serving motion graphics artists producing data visuals.
