CloudLight
Developer: grape design
After Effects plugin that generates clouds from lights, with shape, shading, billow and blend settings.
What CloudLight does
CloudLight, from grape design, creates clouds in After Effects by using lights as the source. Several lights can be placed and randomized, each producing a puff, so building a sky or a smoky mass takes few steps.
Shape and shading have separate groups of detailed settings, and several billow patterns are available. Blend modes govern how overlapping clouds combine, while texture and feel can be tuned and transformed freely. Simple animation is built in, which gives motion designers a quick route to soft, volumetric-looking cloud backdrops.
