What Creation Effects: Flocks does
Creation Effects: Flocks creates birds in flight in After Effects. Twelve high-resolution 3D species are included, among them bat, crow, bald eagle, Canadian goose, owl, macaw, pelican, pigeon, seagull, sparrow, starling and vulture.
Each has built-in flight and flocking behaviour, so you only direct where they go using two or more position keyframes, with random behaviour for variety. Appearance, wing flapping, synchronisation and individual randomness are adjustable. Duplicating scales the flock to hundreds or starling murmurations of tens of thousands. Because it is built with 3D layers, it works with lights and cameras and casts shadows. Your own species can be added using transparent images.
