Fluxion
Developer: grape design
GPU particle plugin for After Effects that makes particles flow along vector fields generated from masks.
What Fluxion does
Fluxion from grape design is a GPU-based particle system for After Effects built around a simple idea: draw a mask, and particles follow it. The mask is converted into a vector field whose width, falloff, scale and sampling density can be adjusted.
Emitters can be box, sphere, point or mask shaped. Turbulence, gravity, wind and air resistance affect motion, while emission rate, lifetime, speed, size, opacity and rotation each have variation controls. It supports 3D with cameras, depth of field and motion blur, custom layer particles, gradients, graph-based life curves and eight blending modes.
