Fluid
Developer: YCraft
GPU 2D fluid simulation for After Effects that turns logos, text and layers into live smoke or liquid emitters.
What Fluid does
Fluid is a Navier-Stokes simulation running on the GPU inside the After Effects timeline, so results appear live without pre-rendering or leaving the app. Any layer with alpha becomes an emitter that releases fluid along its contour, which suits logo reveals and text dissolves.
A second independent emitter produces dual-stream collisions with separate colours. Collider layers have bounce and friction, and invisible colliders can mark hidden boundaries. Mask paths can be pasted as source point keyframes. Controls cover gravity, wind, buoyancy, vorticity, swirl, viscosity and turbulence, and post-processing adds shading and bloom at four quality levels.
