What Geometric Filter does
Geometric Filter from Satori approximates video using geometric primitives, tracing contours and similar regions to mimic hand-drawn art. It runs in After Effects and Premiere Pro.
Twenty style presets provide quick starting points, and six drawing primitives are available: lines, curves, triangles, squares, circles and rectangles. Recursion Steps look for continuous stretches of similar colour to produce more traced outlines, and further controls cover shape count, size, growth, stroke width, fill and opacity. Luminosity limits skip very dark or bright areas, and results can be composited over the original. VJs and music video artists will like the abstract output.
