Keymesh
Developer: nickberckley
Blender add-on for stop-motion-style animation by swapping object data between frames.
What Keymesh does
Keymesh produces stop-motion-style animation in Blender by switching an object's data from one frame to the next. It is a ground-up rewrite of Pablo Dobarro's original and handles nearly all object types.
A Frame Picker UI lists object versions, called blocks, lets you organize them and insert keyframes without duplicating keys in the Dope Sheet, and shows how often each block is used. Versions of data such as meshes and curves can be placed on the timeline and scrubbed. Animators can sculpt or draw each frame by hand.
Key features
- Stop-motion-style data swapping
- Frame Picker for blocks
- Object versioning of mesh and curve data
- Supports almost any object type
