Mapping Gesture
Developer: Bookyakuno
Blender add-on for tweaking a mapping node's location, rotation or scale just by moving the mouse sideways.
What Mapping Gesture does
Dialing in texture placement through node fields is slow. Mapping Gesture by Bookyakuno lets you drag the mouse left and right to alter the transform of the active mapping node, or the first one beneath the cursor.
Press G, R or S to choose between move, rotate and scale; S affects all axes and Shift+S treats them separately, while X, Y and Z pick an axis. Ctrl rounds numbers and locks rotation to 45-degree steps, whereas Shift slows the drag for delicate changes, and the number keys let you type exact amounts.
Key features
- Mouse-driven mapping node adjustment
- G, R and S keys switch transform type
- Axis selection with X, Y and Z
- Ctrl rounding and 45 degree snapping
- Shift for fine adjustments
