Parent2Bones
Developer: NM-8
Blender add-on that parents the selected objects to their nearest bone in a chosen armature with one click.
What Parent2Bones does
Attaching armor pieces, accessories or mechanical parts to a skeleton by hand means choosing a bone for each. NM-8's Parent2Bones automates it: select the objects, run parent selection, and every one is parented to the closest bone of the armature you choose.
Two settings define what nearest means. Distance can start from object origins or from the bounding box center, and can be measured to a bone's head or to the midpoint between head and tail. Documentation is included, and Blender 2.8 through 4.3 are supported.
