Plexus 3
Developer: Rowbyte
A procedural particle engine for After Effects that draws particles and generates lines, facets and links between them.
What Plexus 3 does
Rowbyte's Plexus 3 is a particle system that creates, manipulates and visualises data inside After Effects. Beyond rendering points, it builds connections between them according to different parameters, giving the familiar web of lines and shapes.
Version 3.2.10 added a Minimum Distance parameter for Lines, Facets and Triangulation render objects, and Lines and Facets gained a Color Mode. A Transform Effector can take its transformations from an After Effects layer, OBJ file sequences work in After Effects 2024 and above, and Multi Frame Rendering and native Apple Silicon are supported. Suited to data visualisation and tech-flavoured motion graphics.
