Plugin Everything TextBox 2
Developer: Plugin Everything
Automatically sizes a customisable shape behind text in After Effects, without parenting, mattes or expressions.
What Plugin Everything TextBox 2 does
TextBox 2 from Plugin Everything is a native After Effects plugin that places a box behind your text and keeps it fitted as the words change. It applies directly to the text layer, so no parenting, mattes or expressions are needed.
Shapes include auto, square, circle and polygon, with expansion adjustable across width, height and each edge, even negatively. Corners can be rounded individually, borders can be dashed with butt or round caps, and gradients can be linear or radial with their own opacity. The box can be transformed independently of the text, copes with vertical, horizontal and paragraph text, and supports motion blur at 8, 16 and 32 bpc. Great for lower thirds and captions.
Key features
- Auto, square, circle and polygon shapes
- Expansion per edge, including negative
