Quick Ik
Developer: Blender.Fun
A Blender add-on that sets up inverse kinematics constraints on a bone chain with one shortcut.
What Quick Ik does
Quick IK removes the repetitive clicking involved in building inverse kinematics in Blender. In pose mode you pick the controller, the IK bone and the target bone of the chain, then press a single shortcut, and the add-on does the remaining setup for you.
It unparents the controller, adds the IK constraints and sets the chain length automatically. A later update added a second shortcut for pole targets, using the IK bone and a pole bone. Documentation is included and the tool supports Blender 2.93 up to 4.3 under the GPL, which suits riggers who build limbs often.
Key features
- One shortcut adds IK constraints to a selected chain
- Unparents the controller bone automatically
- Sets chain length for you
- Pole target setup through a second shortcut
