What Sheffield Softworks Keyper does
Keyper uses machine learning to cut people out of footage that wasn't shot against a green screen, available for After Effects, Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. Once separated, filters and effects can be applied to the person or the background on their own.
Matte processing includes Full, Outline, Inline, Core and Combo modes, with width and edge controls for three of them. Keyframeable preprocessing adjusts brightness, saturation, contrast, sharpness and LUTs without changing the output. Outputs include composite, matte, matte over background and coloured matte with alpha. A patch control fills holes or blocks unwanted subjects, and macOS 14 adds detection of non-human subjects.
