What Sound Planes does
Sound Planes uses planes as triggers in a Blender scene. Position them in the areas you want to monitor, and when an object passes through a plane the add-on adds a sound to the sequencer at that moment.
Motion detection is described as running efficiently, and the add-on needs no special permissions. Animators can sync footsteps, impacts and other effects to the action without manually placing audio strips.
