What STEP Importer does
STEP Importer brings CAD models into Blender by dragging in or picking the file directly, with no outside converter or CAD software. It reads .step, .stp and .iges files.
Quality presets from Draft to Ultra Fine, or custom linear and angular tolerances, control tessellation, and Regenerate Part re-tessellates one or many bodies from their source later. A cleanup operator can be rerun without reimporting. Assemblies become nested collections mirroring the CAD hierarchy, filters skip sketches and construction lines, and parts can be placed at the origin or 3D cursor.
