Wirecolor Tools
Developer: JokerMartini
3ds Max script for assigning object wire colors by swatch, at random or as gradients for compositing masks.
What Wirecolor Tools does
Wirecolor Tools helps color objects in 3ds Max so they can be separated later through the Wirecolor render element. It is aimed at compositing and post work, where distinct wire colors act as masks for adjustments and color correction.
Colors can be chosen quickly from 24 swatches or assigned randomly across all or selected layers, by material, or per object. A gradient section blends between start and end colors you define, ordering objects by selection sequence, name, hierarchy, bounding-box volume or position along X, Y or Z. Clicking the gradient bar flips the colors, and right-clicking assigns a gradient color to the selection. It requires 3ds Max 2012 or newer.
