WireColor Pro
Developer: markulie
Open-source MaxScript tool for 3ds Max that randomizes object colors, syncs instances and applies gradients or converted materials.
What WireColor Pro does
WireColor Pro (once called ProColor) is open-source and written in MaxScript, putting a number of color jobs into one 3ds Max window. It colors objects randomly using five presets (Pastel, Gray, Toxic, Clay and Random), keeps instances consistent, and builds smooth gradients across a selection.
It can act on geometry, shapes, groups, everything in the scene, or just your selection. Object colors can be converted to physical or standard materials, and materials can be removed from many objects at once. A dual color picker and undo and redo with full history round it out. Designers and technical artists will find it useful for quickly distinguishing parts of a scene.
Key features
- Random colorization with five presets
- Instance-aware coloring
- Gradient colorization across selected objects
