Zen Dock

Developer: Sergey Tyapkin

Download Free

Blender add-on that puts minimize, maximize, restore and close buttons on every editor area.

What Zen Dock does

Zen Dock gives Blender areas the familiar controls of a desktop window. A classical control bar is added to every area, so managing the layout takes one click rather than shortcuts or menu digging.

You can collapse an area and bring it back, enlarge it to fill the workspace and return it, or close it, and custom toggle buttons are included. It is part of the Zen Bundle by Sergey Tyapkin, and the developer provides documentation along with a support forum.
