AI Depth of Field
Developer: Baskl.ai
Depth-aware bokeh blur for After Effects that blurs background, foreground or both in post.
What AI Depth of Field does
AI Depth of Field gives footage a shallow-focus look after it has been shot. From Baskl.ai, the plugin analyses the shot to understand what's near and far, then adds realistic bokeh blur to the background, the foreground or both.
Five blur settings allow different looks. It runs on macOS and Windows and is compatible with After Effects 2022 through 2025. It's helpful when a clip was recorded with a small sensor, a narrow aperture or a phone and needs more separation between subject and surroundings.
