Block Swap
Developer: Satori
Randomly shuffles blocks of the image for glitches, noise and transitions, with time shift and masking.
What Block Swap does
Block Swap rearranges an image by exchanging small or large blocks at random, in After Effects and Premiere Pro. It produces clean-looking noise, blocky glitches, scene recomposition and transitions.
Block width and height start at 1 for noise-like results and reach 4096 for huge tiles. Shuffle Strength sets how many blocks swap, and Shuffle Spread how far apart. Direction modes allow swapping anywhere, within rows or within columns. Time Shift pulls blocks from other frames, forwards or backwards, and a mask source layer limits the effect. Channels can be targeted, and an animatable random seed varies the order.
