Aquon
Developer: grape design
GPU-accelerated 2D water-like fluid simulation for After Effects with inlets, gravity and mask walls.
What Aquon does
Aquon is a grape design plugin that simulates liquid movement in two dimensions inside After Effects. Rendering is GPU accelerated, so flowing water effects can be previewed and refined without long waits.
Fluid enters through flexible inlets, and gravity can be adjusted to change how it moves. Masks can act as walls to contain or channel the flow, and rendering options alter the way the liquid looks, from solid fluid to other stylizations. Further simulation controls let artists fine tune behavior, making it suited to logo reveals, abstract backgrounds and transitions that need a watery feel.
