What Motion Extractor does
Motion Extractor shows only what changes between frames, throwing away static parts of the picture so the movement alone remains. It is a visual effect from Pixel Sorter Studio for After Effects and Premiere Pro, useful for stylized edits, analysis looks and revealing subtle motion in nearly still footage.
The plugin also runs in Adobe Media Encoder, so effects can be rendered out through it. Versions from 2022 through 2026 of the Adobe apps are supported, and a demo video is available on YouTube for anyone who wants to preview the result.
