Oscilloscope
Developer: Zaebects
Draws a glowing analog oscilloscope trace from an image, audio or a path in After Effects.
What Oscilloscope does
Oscilloscope by Zaebects is an After Effects plugin that produces the bright green-line look of lab test equipment. Feed it an image, an audio track or a path and it renders a luminous trace as if drawn by an electron beam.
The styling is adjustable, with beam width and screen curvature, phosphor fade and flicker, and signal response settings that give movement the feel of a real CRT display. It runs on After Effects from CC 2014 through 2026. Motion designers working on music visuals, sci-fi interfaces or retro tech titles can build convincing waveform graphics without external tools.

- Trace generated from images, audio or paths
