What Plugin Everything Shadow Studio 3 does
Shadow Studio 3 casts shadows and light from the alpha channel of any layer in After Effects. Raytracing lets it imitate global illumination, ambient occlusion, subsurface scattering and glossy reflections, giving flat elements a convincing sense of depth.
Directional and point lights create volume, and extrusion and bevel are built in. An RGBA pipeline sends coloured light from the layer, a gradient editor animates and loops gradients, and inner shadow is a checkbox that works in every mode. Over 36 presets and project files are included, such as a 360-degree directional point rig, and all 37 blending modes support alpha biasing and matte gamma. Styles run from realistic to retro or cartoon.
