Rubberize It
Developer: Orrin Zucker
Physics-driven effect that gives any After Effects layer a plastic, rubber or goop response to motion.
What Rubberize It does
Rubberize It is a plugin by Orrin Zucker that makes flat layers behave like soft materials. Choose Plastic, Rubber or Goop and the layer squashes, stretches and wobbles in response to how it moves, with no keyframes required for the secondary motion.
The behavior comes from a physics model, so animating the layer's position or rotation is enough to get believable jiggle and follow-through. It works with After Effects from CC 2014 to 2026, and a demo video is available. Motion designers can use it to add personality to logos, characters and icons quickly.
Key features
- Plastic, Rubber and Goop treatments
- Reacts to layer motion without keyframes
- Physics-based behavior
- Compatible with CC 2014 to 2026
