HSV Color Randomizer
Developer: Jon Seagull
3ds Max utility that creates nine random variations of a source color in HSV space.
What HSV Color Randomizer does
HSV Color Randomizer generates color variations in 3ds Max. Place a base color in the upper swatch, decide how random the results should be, and one press populates nine swatches with HSV-space variations.
Because variation happens in hue, saturation and value rather than raw RGB, the results tend to remain related to the original color. It is useful for creating palettes, varying materials slightly or picking a family of tones for repeated objects. It targets 3ds Max 4 through 7, which makes it a tool for older releases.
Key features
- Random color variations in HSV space
- Source color dropped onto the top swatch
