Paramfind
Developer: Jon Seagull
Reveals and selects every parametric object left uncollapsed in a 3ds Max scene, ready for collapsing before a render or release.
What Paramfind does
Paramfind searches a 3ds Max scene for geometry that is still parametric. It unhides every parametric, non-collapsed geometric object and then selects them, making it easy to see what remains uncollapsed.
That helps ahead of a large render or when handing off a 3D file, when everything should be collapsed to cut size or fix the geometry. Jon Seagull, a consultant and technical director, created it. A demo video is available. It spares you the effort of hunting for hidden parametric objects one at a time.
Key features
- Unhides every parametric, non-collapsed geometric object
- Selects the revealed objects
- Suited to pre-render or pre-release cleanup
- Runs inside 3ds Max
